The studio house from beginning of 1900 century and the most beautiful environment in Dalarna by the Ateljé Bredgrind.
Ateljé Bredgrind is an artists-run organization for art and artists, located in the municipality of
Avesta, Sweden, just 150 km from Stockholm. Ateljé Bredgrind has been active since 2021. We
run international Artists-in-Residency program, a project-studio space and exhibitions.
The Artists-in-Residency is open to
professional artists from all fields of art. Application to Artists-in-Residency is open once of a year.
The project-studio is open to individual artists or artists groups and cooperation projects.
We organize also group exhibitions for residency artists and open studio events.
The Ateljé Bredgrind is located in a scenic area, near rivers, lakes, forests and fields. The studio house and the surrounding nature and landscape offer a fantastic space for artistic work, inspiration, change of environmental and outdoor work.
The place offers plenty of opportunities for various projects and a peaceful environment to focus on artistic work.
Our studio house is part of the local cultural heritage.
Ateljé Bredgrind is a member of
Res Artis: Worldwide Network of Arts Residencies and a member of
SWAN- Swedish Artists Residency Network. Membership in the association is open to Swedish residency organizers from all art fields whose main purpose is to support artistic creation by providing residencies.

creating new ways to work together in the scene of contemporary art.
